My Sequoia is an 06' 4WD, honestly I don't think it sits any higher than 2WD models.
If your replacing shocks/ect. anyway and you want a more aggressive stance, I say go for it, its your truck do what
you want. Not only will it look better but it will make it unique.
I used to think lifting a 2WD was pointless as well, until we lifted my cousin's Tacoma 2WD(non-PreRunner, you know the "grandpa model" that sits
real low), we got it up to Pre-Runner height running 31x10.50s,(stock was 27x8.5) needless to say going up to tires four inches bigger made the truck a totally different vehicle. Not only did it look much better but I could handle much more difficult terrain that he never would have attempted before.
Anyway, if you like the look of a more aggressive stance that is reason enough to do it. Will it add anything to the functionality? other than a negligible increase in ground clearance probly not. I am a firm believer in liking what you drive so if that's what you like, do it!
You are the one who has to drive it after all.
I have been researching leveling kits for my sequoia as well, not to lift just to get rid of the rake and get a more level stance. If it allowed me to go up a tire size say to a 32" that would be a bonus.
I know toyotec has some nice kits but seems most of them are more aggressive than what I'm looking for, which is a mild leveling kit.
