99 Honda Civic DX SLOW build
Figured i would share my other passion I had before I got into the 4runner scene. I have been out of the Honda game for probably 4-5 years now. After having a 00 Si and 93 Si stolen I kinda got tired of dumping money in something for it just to be taken from me. Now I live in Colorado in the Army. I daily drive a 01 Toyota 4runner. It was stock when I bought it and it kinda evolved into an off-road/camping vehicle. My wife has a 16 4runner lifted and 33's so picking up a civic was nice and loving the gas mileage. Its nice to be able to fill up my tank for $20. Told my wife it was gonna be my daily beater but can't help leave any car alone.
Wish I had some pictures of the car when I bought it. The guy smoked so much weed in it you could of probably got a contact high looking inside. First thing I did was completely tear the interior apart and cleaned everything. More pics coming soon of clean up. Also got some EX seats from a guy on CL.
As mentioned in a later post I picked up a wrecked integra from a guy on CL. I will be doing and engine swap. Taking the brakes a few misc things as well.
Phase 1: 4 wheel brake conversion
Phase 2: Engine swap
Phase 3: Vtec head or turbo?
So here it is a 99 Civic DX hatch for $1800. Pretty much how I got it. Had LS mesh wheels and aftermarket radio.
Swapped out the cluster for one with a RPM gauge

When will you be swapping in an engine in
I owned a 2000 Si (original owner), sold it to a friend of a friend, which then got stolen a few months later. Over the years I've also owned a 1990 Si then a 1996 Integra, I'd end up selling them less than 6 months after because people made offers I couldn't resist. Oh the Integra was also stolen

Keeping my eyes out for a B16 or GSR swap. I really miss my 00 Si. Looked into buying another one but people want to much money for them. People were wanting 4-5k with 200k+ miles.

Updates
Been busy working on the honda more than my 4runner at the moment. Found a wrecked Inegra on CL for $700. I will be swapping over the brakes, engine and tranny, and other small things.
Playing with my the new Nikon I picked up
Swapped over the front seats from the Integra. Swapped out the steering wheel. The leather was really rough on the old one.
The single cam soon to be swapped out for a dual cam engine

I have an 88' ED Hatch that I did a Z6 Mini-Me swap, OBD to OBD1 conversion with a chiped P28 ecu. I love that car, its SO much fun, and I bear to get rid of it. It now needs new tires hand has been sitting for a few years. Yes I start it and run it every other month or so and she starts right up every time. Now it's going to be a project car for me and my boys. I'm ready to drop in a GSR or just SC the Mini-Me. I'd love to turbo the single cam but at almost 12:1 compression, it wouldn't be the best idea. Car looks good enjoy.

I had a 99 ex which I modded over the years. I miss that car. Only sold it because of rust. Wish I still had it. I see it around the area as I traded it in locally. New owner didn't have the same taste I do. Now it has big wheels and a wing.

You should also reuse the hood pins and quick release things off the teggie's fenders and bumper while you're at it
Years ago a friend totalled his Integra by hitting a guardrail to avoid a deer, sold it to my brother for around $500. In less than two months we sold the drivetrain for $800, complete interior for around $1K, then the remaining shell for another $1K. Not bad a bad return for spending $500 LOL
