Sequoia rear spring spacers odd results?

I could use some of your expertise and guidance please about the rear coils of an 03 limited sequoia 4wd. I installed 1.5” rear spacers in conjunction with bilstein 5100s. I have confirmed that the shocks are not limiting travel bc as I jack up the frame, there is room for the shocks to travel and extend . So, with that said, what could have a 1.5” spacer to only yield about a 7/8” lift from ground to fender? All I can think of perhaps springs that worn in a funky spot/way. They have 100k on them and my wife put lots of weight in the back of the sequoia many times during that time. If I’m not mistaken, I believe that in the first few days after installing years ago, she loaded them a bit. I think they sit at maybe about 1/2” sag in general. But to me, a 1.5” spacer will lift it 1.5” no matter where in the coil the sag occurs. Am I wrong?

Here’s where we are at now, with the approximate 1” lift it currently has, she’s finding it a tad more difficult to reach the tail gate to close. I don’t want to take the spacers out and go back 1” due to aesthetics, would it stand to reason that a 20mm spacer, which is a tad over 3/4” would lower it back down maybe 1/4-1/2” providing us with the exact height she needs but still 1/2” gain that I need for aesthetics?

What do you advise, keeping in mind that new springs are likely past my budget.

Thank you.
I’m sorry, my anxiety and ocd has bested me in this.

It sounds like the spacers have been in a while? If so, it’s probably the spring s starting to sag at 100k miles you noted. Those poly spacers don’t really compress much over time usually, maybe a quarter inch but you really have to load them regularly/daily to do so.

You’re correct, in the rear a 1.5 spacer will lift darn close to 1.5”. A 20mm will lift very near that.

Thank you, I just put the spacers in only a day before I posted this. They are new to the system.
