oooh, gorgeous. Just something about the F4s. The SPR was the 'ultimate' 750, correct me if I'm wrong. Was that the final 750, too? Love the matte finish. I like the round organ pipes better than this year's boxier version, personally.

Yea, the SPR is a limited run of 300. It's the last evo of the 750 motor putting out 146hp at 13,000rpm stock. It was geared more so for the track than the street - very tight gear ratios - 1st gear is ridiculous - If your lighting it up you shift into second at around 82MPH.. haha! I love the bike - It's a fantastic machine but it's brutal in the city - it just wants open road or ideally the track.
Yea, I haven't done a track day in a while. A few years ago I was hit by car - the classic I was going straight through a green light - a car decided to make a left turn right into me. My ankle was mashed between the front corner bumper of the car and the bikes subframe. (My old Suzuki) I actually came out of it very lucky - My leg looked a mess but there were no breaks - a lot of severe tissue damage and a club foot! The Boots saved my ankle.. a couple of months later after some physio I was off the crutches..
Anyway - to make a long story short - I haven't been to a track since... I still love to ride.. I had been commuting on bikes for 18 years and had a spill or two before but I guess the last crash changed some things for me. Even in my late thirties you don't heal up as easily as you did in your twenties.. Nowadays I just hit the twisties during non peak hours. I work from home so I can pick and choose when I ride now.. My 4runner is actually the first 4 wheeled vehicle I've owned - when I needed a car I drove the wifes car - otherwise I was always on the bike.

Bump this thread because I am looking to get a bike to ride to school that way I can save some money on gas and have some fun while doing it. This will be my first bike so I have been looking at cbr600f4i's or R6's. I am defiantly going to be taking a motorcycle safety course to get my license. Any advice for a newbie getting into the bike world?

I moh-bike guy too. this her with brand new paint and rubber... not so purty after a season of bugs.
Actually fellahz... I was just looking to carry this thing on the back with a 600lb carrier - that weighs 90lbs. My 2010 Z1000 @ 458 wet.
So a grand total of 548lbs on 500lb tongue.
Am I nutty? Should I go buy a trailer instead?
Any suggestions? it would be all pavement an hr to the track.
thx in advance

Some nice bikes on here, impressive, especially with OP's Duc.
Here's my current, the headlight plastic is white now, need some new pics, maybe when it can finally come outside again.

I used to ride an 06 Suzuki GSX-R 600. It definitely got me around. I really miss riding.

1997 Ducati Monster m750: one of 100. I actually got T-boned on this bike two years ago, but I bought it back and rebuilt it. It's definitely not stock anymore ... - Sil Moto high exhaust carbon fiber exhaust, custom cut & fit to the bike
- Open airbox conversion
- MBP collet kit (valve train)
- Corse rearsets, set up w/ GP shift (no linkage)
- Vortex 10° racing clip-ons
- Pazzo Racing shorty adjustable levers
- S/S Braided lines throughout
- Full floating front brake rotor
- Oberon bar-end mirrors
- Rizoma grips
- Puig windscreen
- LED blinkers up front, MotoDynamics integrated LED brake/turn signals out back
- Custom wiring harness (partial)
- Tailchop + T.P.O. Parts Stealth tailplate
- SpeedyMoto stubby frame sliders & frame brace (not pictured)
- All sorts of carbon fiber, Ti and Al goodness from DP, Corsair Ind. and others ...
- Just shy of 50k on the clocks, and heading to NJMSP for track days this summer ...
1988 Ducati Paso 750: 1 of 55 (in blue, anyway). This is mostly stock except for the Cobra F1 exhaust, Euro tail lens & some subtle tweaks in the fueling. Planning to install a pair of Mikuni 36mm carbs & pod filters this summer to improve the fueling.

I had a 750 Paso just like that in Kansas City. I bought it from Jim Koenig at Letko Cycles...rode the crap out of it. I had 2 ST2's and A Cagiva Gran Canyon. ( I worked at Letko too.) Now I have a '05 650 Vstrom.

Heres my 05 Harley Softtail Standard.. Summer daily driver
Has your normal stuff. Lowered a bit, Slipons and an air cleaner, SE oil pump, minor head porting and a thinner headgasket. But my favorite thing to put on th bike is the miles!
Had a Project 72 Ironhead chopper for a bit. Found int in a barn. Started to assemble, but sold it before I got too far..
How I found it..
