Checking in for 2015

Off with the first entry in 2015...
Still hanging in with the IFS modified & lifted 1994 Toyota surf import... the devil I know still seems to perform better offroad than any model Hilux dual cabs I've driven though my friends are tormenting me with the blingness of their modern utes

But a bit disappointed that the Aussie $ has got so weak against the US - my plans for the Blazeland long IFS arms have gone on hold. That alone would make it near coil suspension articulation so I'm keen to do it.

New to the team

Hello all.

Firstly, Happy New Year.

I have a 1993 LN130 3L (2.8ltr) diesel 4runner. 400,000km so far.
2 inch lift. Old Man Emu springs and coils. 130ltr long range tank and standard 70ltr tank.
Snorkel. 4mm thick diff protector. Tough Dog RTC steering damper. Steel bullbar. 20 inch LED light bar and two 4 inch LED spot lights.

Still want to get a winch, UHF two way, rock sliders, rear bar with spare tyre and dual battery system.

Happy 4WDing to all.

Turbo Install, Anyone?

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has installed a turbo on the 2.8 litre diesel engine that is in the 1993 LN130 4Runner.

If yes. Pictures, videos or links to other web pages would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Happy 4WDing to all.

Roof top tent

Hi all,

Has anyone put a roof top tent on a LN130 4Runner.

I want to but I'm not sure if the roof top rails that are standard on the 4Runner can take the weight.

Can anybody help please.

Cheers.

New to the 4Runner GANG :-)

Hello out there!!!
What a great idea for this site. We have just gotten our 95 diesel 4Runner, she is stock standard apart from a set of big fat tyres, alloy bull bar, side steps and rear bar. We are adding a roof rack and awning to her, then down the track looking at adding a set of new tyres, aftermarket suspension (she did have airbags), but they have disintegrated :-( UHF radio, fridges/freezer and a few extra bits and pieces along the way.
She blows a little bit of smoke at the moment, only when she is given a bit of throttle or laboring.
My husband and I are no motor mechanics, but this car has been immaculately looked after by the previous owner (my wonderful dear "dad") and it is a dream come true for us to be able to deck her out how we want and learn the basics of 4x4ing.
Looking forward to the adventure

G'day. 84 4runner sr5 with the old 3Y.
Has a lift, front bar, some decent tyres on the front, but none of it was my work. Purchased her for 800 in pretty crappy condition. Previous owner was a young bloke. Absolute hack. But I love her. Just cruising the forums atm before I can start my build thread cause she's gonna be a big one!

Noticed a few others from bendigo/central vic. Anyone keen on a day trip? I'm in maryborough VIC 👍

New member from Far North Queensland. Love my 4runner but I dislike how much the v6 chews fuel. I've got a 2.8 3l Diesel sitting around I'm thinking of rebuilding and putting in. Not sure what is needed for the swap as I have not found a single piece of information from going 3vze to 3l/5l. I have a 2lt belhousing also so I know I can mate the 3l to the R150. Anyone know if the v6 and 2.8l 4runners have their engine mounts on the chassis in the same spot? I have 0 idea how to embed photos, so sorry about that.

Cheers
