Hey there, I recently purchased a Smittybilt air compressor that I plan to mount onboard in the engine bay behind the air box. Do you think the battery tray would work as a mounting platform? I ask this with the understanding that I would need to drill mount holes for the feet of the compressor. I saw the tray has a max battery length of 11" and if I set one end of the housing toward the tapered part of the tray the outer feet fall just within the 11". I have attached some pictures to illustrate what I'm thinking and a couple with tape measurements.

Additionally, what is the horizontal dimension for the base of the taper to the plane where the taper fastens to the fender? This is dimension d in the illustration I have attached.

Lastly, are you running any coupons/deals on the battery tray?

I think you could make it work. It looks like the compressor will fit onto the tray pretty well, the only thing I would be concerned about is if the compressor hangs off the tray too far towards the engine area and may come in contact with some of the components on the engine. I definitely think it would be worth a try though!
The dimension you were asking for is 1.5"

Thank you for your quick response! If that dimension is just 1.5" then I think there should be enough space. Had it been 3" it would probably be too much.

You are welcome! Post up some photos if you get the compressor all mounted and fit up in there.

Definitely will do. Just have to get some other parts before I can get it all plumbed and running, but fitment can probably be pictured before then.

Battery and Accesory Trays

Looking into both of these trays for my 4Runner. Are there any special deals with codes running right now?
