Yes...now that I'm home I promise I'll update my trip thread. I know it's been a while but on the way back we were way off the beaten track and not around wifi too often so I just gave up on it. Just got home the other day, 25,000km, 127 days on the road, 10 countries (twice) no breakdowns. Alternator quit on the way home and we had to walk the last 1.5 km to get to her parents place.
I'll get on it.

I just replaced my idler arm and wowza, the whole tie rod assembly sits a good 4" higher and none of them touch now. The ball joint just kinda flops around on the old one. Just gotta do the pitman arm and take it for a quick spin. Hopefully that solves the death wobble issue or at least makes it driveable.

What did you do with your classic T4R today?
Did a compression check on my 3.0. Not so good results.

Over the weekend I bought a new tow rig for mine...
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 3.0 EcoDiesel. They're dropping it off in about an hour.
It was the wife's Mother's Day present.

Wow....really. I thought it was one of the easier ones I've ever done. V8's in the Tundra's and Titan's are a pain, I can only imagine them in the smaller T4r hood....I can't even see where the back two are in our R350 and my parents had a Chevy Lumina in the mid 90's that you had to remove the motor mount to get to the back plug!
BTW - replaced all 6 fuel injectors Sun! Haven't had a chance to post up about it yet....but really happy with the results!

Drove mine around the back to pull the project Bronco I'm selling out of its resting place... got a guy coming for it this week, hopefully, and it hadn't been cranked in long enough that it sank into the ground and needed a jump start.
Trying to jump off that big ass 351W had the stock 22RE alternator working its tail off... and it was, as expected, running like crap.
Can't wait for the replacement ECM to come in so I can toss it in and replace the O2 sensor...

Installed my lights today and started wiring them. 120W 21" spot beam light bar, two 72W spot beams on each side of the bar, and two 18W floods for the corners for making turns on the trail. And yes that is a Stokes litter for a roof rack. Multi fuctional!

The driver's side isn't bad at all but to get to the #5 plug I had to pull the battery and unplug some vacuum lines. Didn't help that it appeared the plugs haven't been changed in 100k miles thanks to PO...
