Angry Noisy & I mean NOISY Fuel Injectors!!

I have a 1995 4Runner SR5 2WD with the 3VZE 3.0 Engine. I Love the vehicle, but I hate the engine with a passion!!! What a Dog...oops...I am ranting.

Ok...I had a new (rebuilt) engine installed back in November 04. The motor runs very strong and is a big big difference from the original, but...

the dam fuel injectors are LOUD AS HELL!!!

Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick, tick, Tick, Tick, Tick!!!

I went to my Toyota Dealerhip and spent about 45 minutes with a mechanic and we drove the vehicle and pulled it into the garage and he explained and showed me what was causing the noise.

Basically...he said there was nothing that could be done about it!!

They are Very, Very, LOUD and they are driving me crazy!!!

They make the motor sound like crap!!

Has anyone come across this issue??

Solution?

Totally Frustrated!!!

Were the injectors rebuilt. I just put the 3.0 back in my 89 and had the injector rebuilt for $160. No noise at all. On a side note where does you oil pressure gauge sit after the new motor (mine seems to low).

No, they are the original injectors. the Toyota mechanic said that new ones or rebuilt, would still make the noise just as loud. I am going to talk with another Toyota mechanic and see if he agrees with that diagnosis.

My oil pressure indicator is just right with this new engine, but my old engine was different, it always read a little low. My friends 95 shows a little low though and he just had his engine rebuilt, so I doubt it's anything to worry about. You could tell pretty quick, if your oil pressure was not good.

I will post what I find out, once I am able to see the other mechanic.

Thanks!

They are loud get used to them, all injectors make the tick sound just louder on the 3.0

The oil pressure gauge is not the best on our truck to boot.

Yeah, if I knew they were that loud, I would never have rebuilt the 3VZE, I would have done an engine swap with the 3.4.

The guages are below average in a lot of ways, but oh well...that's factory Toyota for you!!

Thanks for the reply!
