Tax Refund?

What are your plans for your tax refund? Just got my w2, so I will file today.

Plans?
Bumpers
gears
rear locker
2" lift

I'm just a little excited.

Rebuilt front diff with a TrueTrac, and some sort of solution for my rear springs.

Not sure yet, but might pull the trigger on a high pinion drop-in diff with ARB for the front--I don't like having a mechanical locker in front (bought it that way). Other possibilities are Trail-Gear "Dirty 30" birfields, rocker protection, skids, etc.. I'm getting the largest refund I've ever received, so yeah, the gears in the head are spinning!

I need to get some sort of front bumper on my 92...and get my winch fixed. Haha.

Bucknut, I would do shafts over a locker. If you lock the front end on stock shafts with your hp/tire combo...bye bye birfield.

Yeah, that's probably the prudent way to go. I was going to limit the craziness until I did upgrade the axles, but it's still a good idea. I was just thinking of the ARB since it's so pricey, and I don't often have large piles of cash ready to put into the goodies. What's your take on the importance of heavy duty knuckles (like Trail-Gear's "Six Shooter") or trunnion bearing eliminator kits on stuff short of monster rock-crawling? Save for later? I know the birfields are a must, just not sure how well the other stuff holds up.

I think your probably good on the knuckles until your in the 40" tire range. I would get the ARP studs though..

Really depends on your wheeling style and the terrain. I would at least truss the axle and knuckle balls if you havent already.

I don't now about refund, but just ordered a new factory Toyota radiator for our 1990 4runner(4WD, V6, auto) and it was pricey, whew. Toyota must really want us to junk these old trucks. The 4runner will have definitely had it's fill of parts for the last 12 months. I just gave it an oil change(M1 syn oil) and installed a fuel pressure regulator. It's getting a new fuel pump this week as well.
regards

Tax refund? What's that? Lucky if we pay enough so we don't have to pay anymore.
