a few pics of my truck
The first couple are when I first brought it home, and taken with a real camera. That's my old boy Caesar is pic #2 ,R.I.P. BROTHER!! The rest of the pics were taken(on cellphone) a couple days back while doing some yardwork at my Grandmas. The weather was perfect, the truck was freshly washed and I snapped some (albeit poser )shots. I haven't posted many pics of her, so here she is! In pic5 , making his grand premier is.my new bestfriend / brother, he is 5 mo. old and his name is Cabo; island dog. Lmk what you think of the rig, the pig , MY NIG!

Truck: 1987 4runner DLX
Motor: 22re, rebuilt and with about 15 k on it when I bought her, up to 35k on rebuilt motor. Running STRONG
Miles: almost 185k now, had 165k on her when I got her with a freshly rebuilt 22re.
Trans/DT: 5spd w/ 4:10s, hopefully not forever Haha, i think the truck could be quick(er) with better gears, esp if you run larger rubbers. (I have 33x12.5 procomp at's, probably the weakest at evermade LOL)
MODs/ money spent... in chronological order iirc
1) new oil.pan, previous had a hole in it
2) full ome, replaced rancho adjustable shocks and old downey components(leafs & tbars)
3) hella500 black magic fogs (also the $20 rectangles from autozone,, goodlights bud faded fast) coming off soon.
4) electric fan w/ switch in cab(still gets warm on the trail.....hmmm)
5) roundeyes headlights, super nice, soon to upgrade bulbs
6) inclinometer, I need to buy the mounting hardware and wiring pigtail before it goes in
7) 4crawler bj spacers, oem upper and lower balljoints
8) ss extended brakelines
9) Painted grill matte black and wheels gunmetal.
I think that's about it, I redid the tint too(15% on front 2, 5% on cap Windows and rear windshield)
TO DO:
1) pull carpet, clean & and corrosion proof the floor pan ( got a bad spot or two :/)
2) rhino/herculine the floor, re-pad it and install new carpet. I can't get rid of the po's dog hair 100%, grrrrr nassty
3) new alternator and starter, this might and should happen first!
4) new seats or reupholster the current fart sponges
To come, in no specific order "wishlist"
Gears oem 4:88, lockers ARB, bumpers (soo many I like) ARB/tg/davez, new exhaust (maybe coming soon),a header, a cam, YATTA YATTA
I'm sure I forgot something, but that's the gist mates!

It won't be there forever! I figure by the time the emu's are dying ill be able to afford a nice s.a.c., nothing crazy, probably an old factory axle. But yes, I'm with you

Nice 4Runner! Black paint looks so good when it's clean. Caesar looks like he was a young dog. How did he pass away? I have a 50 -50 lab/weimaraner mix. Someone left a gate open at the breeders!

Thanks nervo, black is nice esp when clean! Not my choice, but whatevers!
In that pic Caes wouldve been about 7. I had to put him down 10/28/11, 1 day after his 9th bday. He had lymphoma (cancer), found out on 6/28/11 and started chemo immediately. He did well, went in and out of remission a couple times.... but. He was killer, the best money I ever spent. Now chapter 2 with Cabo, you've got a nice looking beast there yourself! Gods gift to man is dog!!

Ps- and no, lol, granny doesn't sling booger sugar ;-)

is that a body lift that puts the rear bumper down like that or does your state have a bumper height law?

Yes, it was a cooler lid... at first! Before I replaced the oil pan, something had to be under the truck at all times to catch drops that wanted to run away.
It does have a 1" bl (don't think i stated before) but that's not the reason the bumper is like that. The bumper is the most generic.chrome bumper on the planet, and thats just how it fit when one of the po's put it on. I hate it. Here in fl, johnny law is very lenient with on road specifics like that.. tint, bumper height, noise pollution etc luckily.

For sure! I seem to be partial to tube style bumpers...so we'll see. I've tossed around the idea of taking that pos rear bumper off, but that'd be the only time in my life I backed into something BIG..... so it'll (sadly) stay till I can pay for better. Thinking about getting a factory black front bumper (very cheap new) and upgrading my rear bumper first. Who knows, it'll def happen though! After new starter & alternator money can go towards 'funner' things
