Unhappy Failed Emissions

The '86 4R failed the 2500 RPM CO% test. They guy said it might be running rich. Anyone have any tips of clues as to how I might fix this or get it to pass?

An exhaust leak before the o2 sensor will cause a rich mixture. Also when we use to have testing here I would have to turn the distributor back all the way and the mixture screw all the way in (or was it out?) just to pass. Don't forget to get the cat nice and hot. If all else fails buy some of that stuff you pour in you tank that will make you pass. I am glad they did away with testing here.
