Classic T4R's with A/C? Who else has it?

I have Ice cold ac in my 86 with 386,000 miles on it right now i converted it an recharged it last summer and havent had any leaks yet! Im just curious if anyone else has classics that still have working ac. I live in Las Vegas so ac is a must here.

Oh hell yeah I got it!

You should see the Jeep/Land Rover guys when we go wheeling. They are sweating their butts off, and I'm off roading in a/c comfort! LOL!!

Yup. I haven't bothered to yank mine yet, but it's never worked. Did you notice any better cooling with it gone?

You would notice better mpg from less weight.
BTW, mine works, but lowest blower position does not. Probably bad resistor. Will crawl down there and check/replace soon.

Toyota components are bullet-proof. Issues often arise from poor wiring, assembly and/or maintenance. Suspect those first.
Next only to our senses, the multi-meter is the most important electrical diagnostic tool. Spend $6 at Harbor Freight or $$$ blindly replacing parts.

Mines got it stock. I rarely use it though, windows down or top off. I prefer mpgs over comfort. However, my prego wife sure appreciates it now that she's in trimester number three during the summer ;-)

My 86 has factory AC, it has been converted, was non-op when i bought it, but a recharge and its working great. I also live in vegas, and driving during the day with no AC is "uncomfortable".
