Is this a fuel pump issue?

Got an issue with my 92 Toyota 4Runner. When I start it up it drives just fine but after about 10-20 minutes of driving (typically at highway speed) when I give it some gas it will "bog out", jerk a little bit and have no power. It doesn't stall out but it pretty much is unresponsive. I will then pull over and shut turn off the ignition. I'll start the truck up again after about 2-5 minutes and it will run just fine again until it does it again. I've tried replacing the fuel filter but this did not help. I'm thinking it could possibly be a fuel pump issue but I can't be sure and would like to get some input before I spend money on that. This is my first post on this forum and would appreciate any advice or input.

Thanks!

Are you getting and check engine lights? That sounds like a sensor issue but you'll usually get a CEL if that's the case.

I would think that either your fuel pump works or it doesn't. Meaning that if you have fuel pressure during start up and for the first 10-15 minutes of driving, you'll have it for the rest of the drive. If the fuel pump cuts out at some point, it would be done for good. Just a guess though.

First, you might check your fuel pressures and make sure the gas cap seal is not leaking(ethanol rots/dries out the rubber seal). When was last time you changed the o2 sensor(supposed to be changed every 90k) and t-stat? If the t-stat is sticking open, it can allow the truck to run on the rich side.
You might also have the mixture checked through the exhaust emissions. This will be fair telling.
regards
