84 4runner lifted - shifter question?

Ok heres a quick run down on the truck. I bought someone else's project. I know alot about american cars but not much about toyota's.
Heres what it has.

Chevy350 motor/trans
Toyota TC
Toyota front and rear axle's
3 inch body and 3 inch suspension lift
35x12.50 on 15inch wheels
b&m ratchet shifter

The b&m shifter was installed in place of the toyota shifters between the seats.
When I bought the truck the guy that sold it was a friend of the builder.

The builder said something about getting under the truck to shift it into 4 wheel drive. I can feel where the shifter would go when I reach up on the TC but dont know what to do fron there.

My questions?
1) Does anyone have a pic of the top of the TC and can tell me how I could shift it by hand, if possible?
2) Does someone sell some kind of cable mounted shift setup that I could look into for the truck. or some how make my own setup.
3) Anyone have any clue at all on this subject.

Thank you

Here is the Toyota t-case Bible. Scroll down to top vs forward shift and you'll see all the pics you need.

You'd need at least a stub of the original shift lever to be able to shift the case from underneath.

Thank you.
I had an idea last night that might work. I could cut a old shifter and weld a peice to it so it will move under the floor and then come out behind the b&m shifter. Dog leg it.
