Engine swap
hi everyone so I have a 1993 4runner 4x4 and I'm doing a ''simple'' engine swap taking the 3.slow out of it and putting a 3.4 engine, transmission and wiring harness of course. now my question for you guys is will the transfer case from my 1993 4runner fit the 1996 transmission? thank you for taking your time reading my post hope to hear from someone soon!

Why are you swapping transmissions? The R150 bellhousing bolts up behind the 3.4, doesn't it?
If you're talking the A340H automatic, then no. That transfer case is integrated with the transmission.

Instead of us guessing, tell us what transmissions are mates to each engine, which is bad, etc.

Transfer case off the 3.0 will not fit the 3.4 tranny, you have to either use the 3.0 trans and t-case or the 3.4 trans and t-case . It's one or the other no mixing of those parts ,but a 3.0 tranny will bolt to 3.4

what I want to do is take the 3.0 engine, transmission, wiring harness and transfer case out of my 1993 4runner and put a 1996 3.4 engine, transmission, wiring harness and transfer case.

Okay, you will need to get an adapter for top shift t-case. Then either build or buy exhaust crossover pipe,I would bet you could get a t100 t-case and mate it to the 3.4 auto and not need adapter. But don't know for sure.

ok on my 1993 4runner has the differential on the right passenger side. so the transfer case is on the right side of course. now the transfer case from the 1996 4runner is on the left driver side which means that the front differential is on the left side. now what I was thinking is get the front differential from the 1996 4runner and put it on my 1993 4runner. that way I have the transfer case on the left as well as the front differential. I hope I explained it ok..
