Power steering leak, BAD
I have indeed searched the forums before I posted this, but I can not quite seem to find anything.
I have an 86 Runner who's previous owner was a Toyota tech....that let is sit for the last two years.
Everything functions just fin accept for a few things here and there (leaky/cracked hoses), but I have recently been having a problem with my power steering pump.
It leaks almost the entire reservoir in just a few hours. Massive pool of liquid under my truck when I go outside to drive it isn't very fun. the leek seems to be coming from the top of pump, which I had originally thought was the hose (when I took it off it was so brittle that I could mash it up into dust). Replaced the hose, though it was all good...then it got worse.
I was thinking it could be the gasket undo the hose connection (from the reservoir to to pump) but I wanted to get some one's opinion here.
Any help/redirection to threads is greatly appreciated. I want my baby to not bleed vital fluids!!!
