3vze thermal vacuum valve. need help

Will the truck work without this TVV thing. Because both nipples broke. And can anyone explain to me how this thing works. Would it be bad if i just bypassed it. what if i where to connect the the charcoal can straight to the plenum? would that work????

please bestow me with your knowledge.....

these are color coded so in theory you should be able to find another like blue one (Rock has them in blue, $$$!) or Ebay (~20) but running the canister straight to the intake is not a good idea as it will be drawing vapor (ie vacuum leak) even when cold and that may not be good for warmup. It needs to be warm to open this valve to then open the purge control valve that allows stored vapor to then be drawn into intake. If this operates a purge control valve, then you can tee this off another thermally ported vacuum fitting and it will operate only when warmed up. I have a white one for purge control and a blue one for EGR, 2 different temp ratings....?

If you have all the broken parts..a "fix" is to insert a straw from spray can (cut to fit) and super glue it back together, it works.!
Or shop 90925-05047 iirc? is for the TVV 50~108 $$.
