Has anyone retro fitted shoulder belts to rear seats?

Was wondering if anyone ever has retro fitted a set of shoulder seat belts to the back seats? I'm assuming that's what the mounting plates on the roll bar are for. The kids hate the auto locking lap belts in the back seat and honestly, I like the concept of making them a little safer back there.

I bought a set from JC Whitney, best price I could find, and bolted right up. I think I remember seeing that someone used a pair of front seat shoulder belts from a junk yard, but don't take my word for it.

We had some in our 89. We took the front ones off and put them in the back (drilled a hole through the roll bar) and got new ones in the front. They were the Toyota OEM ones. I do not have a part number- they might not even stock them anymore because we did this about 13 years ago.

I bought a parts Runner that had belts bolted to the roll bar like that. The belts were out of a Dodge of some sort. They seemed to be legit, never try to use them.

There's a lot of possibilities for the belts. A few years ago you could still order them from the dealer.
Just remember, the threaded mounting holes for them in the roll bar are SAE, not metric.
It's an SAE Fine thread, 5/1'6 IIRC.

I got shoulder belts from a 93 Toy pickup off eBay. Make sure you get the receiver end too. The roll bar is threaded to receive the shoulder belts. Just pop off the plastic covers. The shoulder belts screw right in to the roll bar. It's about a 10-15 minute mod once you have the parts. I need to take better pictures.
