Danger Zone!
Hey guys. First post! Been a Toyota guy for a long time and just recently acquired an 86 T4R. Glad I found this place because I've been lurking for awhile and there is a wealth of knowledge here. I already have some Redline MT90 on the way and a new shifter seat and bushing from Marlin Crawler. Shifts a little hard occasionally... Especially cold. Also ordered some roll bar speakers from Crawl Tunes and just put them in today. Love 'em! I've done a ton of searching and dug up a bunch of old posts but I have one question: have we solved the cupholder problem yet? I've seen the $2 window holders and the wedge cup holder in the map pocket but is that it for options? I saw a writeup with a cupholder out of a VW that was installed under the radio but that seemed a bit flimsy. Anyway, here's some pics. Can't wait to tinker with it a bit!

I know a lot of you are sticker guys but I'm not. I think the previous owner had some sort of sticker fetish. Windows are getting some tint added this weekend and I am getting rid of those awful stickers! Haha.

Yeah, they didn't have TRD back then.
But it's a real nice looking truck.

Thanks guys. Yeah it was a hard decision to get rid of that TRD sticker. I know it adds a good 5-10 hp

Nice Runner.
To answer your question about the cupholder issue, there's some custom center consoles I've seen on here, just have to search for them.
Here's my modified $30 Wal-mart center console.
I've decided to fab up my own later on, when I have the time.

Looks pretty good. I'm afraid I'm going to have to modify an aftermarket console or create some cupholders from scratch. Guess that's what you run into with vehicles this age and I'm ok with that.

Tint on and stickers removed! Got a few inches of snow here in the frozen Nebraska arctic last night. MC shifter seat and bushing arrived yesterday. Will install once it warms up outside.

TRD sticker may be removed when it warms up a bit, may leave it on too. Who knows.
My other baby. Paint code is black even though you couldn't tell by looking at it right now...
