Looking forward to the completed pics!
Edit: I find it funny that we have twp people with very similar names on here, ajohnson and ajordan. But what really find funny is that ajordan is wearing gloves that say johnson on them.

that's because the guy doing the cutting is a buddy of mine and his last name happens to be Johnson...
he builds hot rods and does chop tops. he came over to help out and kinda took over the angle grinder..

yours should be easier than mine since the back of yours is a tail gate. pull it off, cut the roof, and weld the entire tail gate in.

Exactly what I was telling him. Wouldn't even be hard to keep the rear window functioning.

here's a link to the 4runner that made me want to do this. I think a tail gate from a 3rd gen would work on mine but I'm trying to do this on a small budget.

My mechanic has made three of these... He's working on a fourth right now that he has cut all the way to the front. It's going to become a full convertible he says. His are a little funny but they came out looking really clean. I will get some pictures next time I go to his shop. Yours looks like its gonna be way sicker!

I included the first photo just because I think you all will appreciate the restoration job they did on this truck. I love the paint, the lift and the bumpers. You guys should have seen the before pics. The last pic he has dubbed a beach cruiser… lol.
