87 custom dash

I had some time to kill over the weekend, and decided I was tired of looking at that cracked dash. So I did what any redneck does and fixed something that wasn't really broke.

covered it with rubber diamond plate, Also did the floors.

the runners original color was red with the blue gray interior. I painted the outside black. It had no carpet so I used that stuff to cover it, im not a big fan of carpet. the dash was an ugly color and had some cracks. I painted the drivers side gloss black and only covered the passenger side with the rubber. I used a bunch of bondo to fill the shallow tray where an inclinometer would go. Maybe next ill do the headliner, tailgate, side panels. The rubber is pretty tuff, waterproof and cleans up easy.

If I had the time/skill/money id prefer to fab it out of black aluminum diamond plate.
