Half doors/ Handle options??

I am looking for opinions on how to make door handles on my half door project. I am torn between using electric door poppers or grafting in new standard handles into the bottom of the doors. Anyone with experience in this know how tough it is to work out the linkage inside the door to make the handle work?
The poppers might be easier??

That's great!! Super simple and FREE!!! I think that's what I'm after! Thanks.....that was a fast solution. My rig won't be entering any beauty contests, and I have a soft top, so I never lock it anyway.

I like that idea Beater. If I ever get around to half doors think I might steal that.

When you pull the latch mechanism out of the door and just play around with it you can see that there are several ways to make them work. These are so simple, you just slap the "button" down and the door pops open.

A soft top? In Montana? It's too cold there man.
I went to college at MSU in Bozeman in '96 and '97. And I never locked my doors there either 'cause one time I did and the lock froze and it took a cigarette lighter to heat up my key to get it unlocked.

Nice! I ditched my hard top and run the soft top year round. I'll do the same with the half doors w/ snap on windows....until snow and frost makes scraping needed....and my heater doesn't even blow hot air....kind of a "not cold" breeze, but enough to keep the windshield de-fogged. I just wear my Carhardt coveralls and my steel nads!!! Cold-schmold!
