help! 4 rubber won't start running.

My 87 was sitting for about 1-2 months and now it won't start. If I use starting fluid or if I disconnect the ignition coil then reconnect it, the truck sounds like it's going to start and sometimes does for about 1 second and then dies. I did have the fuel pump disconnected and forgot to plug it in when I first tried starting it. I also added fresh gas. Not sure what to try next.

If that is the relay above the ecu I know that it clicks when I go to start the truck. Not the acc. Position

1 click is normal i think, as you turn the key. Have someone turn the key for you and go put you ear beside the gas tank, if you don't hear any humming inside the tank, your fuel pump is either shot, or stuck/locked up. Ive read people trying to hit the bottom of the gas tank to unstick the fuel pump, but it's only something i've read, can't confirm or deny that it works.

Is the engine turning over fast like it should? How long has it been since a fuel filter change?

I'm going to change the fuel filter tomorrow. I pick it up 3 months ago I have no idea if the previous owner changed it. Also I read if I jump fp to b+ on the diagnostic box under the hood it bypasses that relay so I will try that tonight.

Hoping it's just a dirty filter, then you're on the road again.
