Catalytic converter

Bought my '92 3VZE almost a year ago, and I'm slowly replacing everything I possibly can on the truck, and today I decided to do my catalytic converter (and am I glad I did!). This is just to simply remind everyone (or those who haven't replaced theirs) that you may want to check yours out, because mine wasn't so good

oh man you are scaring me, I havent peeped down in mine.
I wonder if that's what fuel dumps into exhaust look like, or was yours the truck with lots of water ( throt body sludge) ?

on the other hand, what are we looking at ? down through two discs of catalyst substrate?

I aint a mathpetician, but sure looks like running an iron rod down the center and a little shake out would get that thing breathing again in a jiffy !
