93 4Runner radio issues and door actuator issues.

Hey guys, really odd issue that has my head sore from scratching. On my default head-unit and speakers, I have this weird static noise only on some stations, and sometimes. A bit of a bang might help it, but it just seems like it comes on randomly without any trigger. Has anyone experienced this before?
Lastly, the passenger door's locking actuator has seemingly become weak, has anyone re-invigorated these by replacing internal components or is the $94 replacement my only option? Thanks guys, looking forward to working with this community toward the greater good, bad-ass 4runners.

I dunno how the stock actuator looks, but being that I have installed hundreds of alarms back in the 80's/90's, I would just modify a regular aftermarket actuator to work with the stock lock system. I have two of them in my doors right now, but my truck did not come with auto locks from the factory, so it was a simple process to put the aftermarket ones in.

As for some stations being noisy, could just be where your location is, although if it is changing if you smack the radio, it sure sounds like either a bad/loose ground or antenna connection to the back of the deck.

Try tapping the antenna next time to see if it also changes the noise. Could just need a new antenna or maybe just a good cleaning of the ground at the base of the antenna.

Okay, I'll see if I can attempt that. As for the radio, when it makes the noise, I'lll be sure to check. Thanks!
