No problem. I am not promoting the cheap skate route, but I know what these bjs kits cost and then shocks sometimes double the cost, even tripple.
Just jack the truck off the ground at the front crossmember and look and see if the upper control arm droop stops are what is stopping the travel. If the droop stops dont make contact then the shock is too short. This will wear out the lower ball joints fast. If the droop stop on the upper UCA is contacting then the shocks you have are long enough. If you want to investigate further: disconnect the lower bolt of the shocks, then wiggle it free of the mounting tabs and see if it wants to continue its travel farther down.if it doesnt, and you still feel uncomfortable about them you can space them down as noted.
