I believe my cat is clogged?

I have a 1995 4runner 3.0 4wd and iv been having problems with it. And I fixed those problems. And I changed the oil and started it up and let it run for about 30 mins or so. Make sure it's okay the idle the power etc and I looked at my exhaust and my cat was glowing red but just at the end of the cat? And I know if the cat is glowing it is clogged, but is it still clogged when it's glowing in the back of it? Or is something else wrong? I'll upload the picture i toke
And another question since I am here.

I sprayed around with carb cleaner to make sure I don't have any vacuum leaks or anything, and I decided to spray my fuel injectors for the hell of it ( at least the ones on the driver side ) and the idle went up when I sprayed the one closest to the front of the engine, now my understanding is that injector is leaking and the o-rings need to be replace? Is that correct?

Your muffler is clogged if it is glowing after the cat. Hit it with a hammer, if you hear any rattling from the inside, it is old and has deteriorated and needs to be replaced. There is also a chance there is something like a mouse nest in there that can be "fished out", but in all likelihood, it's just old.

But take it to a shop and see if it has ruined your cat too. If its a '95 and you're on the original cat, it's probably time anyway.

Ummmm that's weird iv never herd of a clogged muffler before. It's newer muffler and around 3 year old cat, my old problems where my head gasket. Iv herd that the head gasket going back it was leaking on the cat and making them go bad?

Anyways ha it's my toy for the desert it's not even Reg for two years it's been on non op. So cutting the cat and muffler off it won't hurt me. It'll just make it sound a lot more loud.

It's hard to tell from the picture. But how rusty is your cat if at all? I know my cat needed to be replaced because it had a bunch of rust built up and air was leaking through one of the rust locations

I don't know if anyone is reading this still but I cut my cat off to see threw my muffler, my cat was deteriorating and couldn't see threw it, even with a flash light. A bunch of ratting inside the cat. My muffler was the same thing part of the cat was inside the muffler. And making the cat clogged. It was ratting like crazy.

But anyways on the bright side of it. It idles a whole lot butter with a open exhaust.

On the bad side it sounds like crap I hate the sound without a cat or muffler thank god it's my off-road toy!

When I have time in gunna get a cheap cat and a ok muffler so it doesn't sound like shit hahaha but hope someone is reading this tread

Update

I had a small misfire on cylinder #1, so I checked the sparked plug ( good ) checked the sparked plug wire ( good ) check cap and rotor ( good ) i sprayed some carb cleaner around the injectors on the driver side. Idle went up on that cylinder and on the far back one. I toke it all apart and the injector gasket were really bad had a ton of cracks so I bought a re build kit for them don't have the money for new ones or else I would buy new ones. Let's see how it goes

Hope someone is reading this

I'm only kept posting due to the people that are having rebuild issues or whatever the case my be. I know that know on is replying but all the post iv searched for re build injectors or clogged muffler wasn't what I was looking for. But anyways here are some photos from before and after the rebuild on the fuel injectors.

As you can see the rubber and such was very worn and making the injectors suck air into it. Making the motor doing funny things, the last photo is when I was finished on what they should look like ( with my rebuild kit )

Your coming right along. Just because nobody is replying doesn't mean we're not reading and this will probably help others in the future.

So I got good news and some bad news of course hahah so when I was putting the fuel injectors back in I snapped the stud that holds the fuel rail on the engine. ( from other post and other websites ) I'm not the only one that has done that I guess there made from weak material, witch is true. Plus they get hot and cold and that worn the stud out I did not apply much torque. But anyways I Looked at those coolant sensors and the tvv ( thermal vacuum valve ) was broken ( that's the one that has two snapped nipples on it ) and the one wire sensor, the wire came out of the sensor, iv herd that sensor is for either the coolant gauge in the truck or the A/C shut off compresser. But anyways the plan was today, is put it back together but I can't right now due to those broken studs and sensors. So tomorrow morning I was being going to the junk yard to get new ones and go to AutoZone to hopefully get new studs for the fuel rail if not I'll get some from the yard also

The good news is that the fuel injectors went in perfect and no issues there. I'll post pictures when I get it together %100

So I went to the junk yard on this beatiful football Sunday morning.

I got that one wire sensor with a different connector so it won't be so hard to break it again. And I got About 8 studs and nuts with the fuel rail spacer just because you ever know if you lose things.

So found a thread about that tvv sensor I did it find. But it was either bypass or just broken. I toke apart three trucks 😡 To find them broken I was upset but it is what it is. So i might bypass mine and see what happens. I don't wanna buy a new one just because they cost a lot of money :/

I will put it together on my next day off and take some pictures.

But I have pictures

Have you taken a dead blow hammer to the section that glowed red and listened for rattle sounds?

Next time you should consider getting your injectors cleaned by this guy. I've personally used him for my '83 Starlet

You get your injectors back with all those rubber pieces you replaced.

Yea I did that before I remove the cat and muffler, to see what would happen nothing changed it stilled glowed red and still rattled and such inside the cat and the muffler, so I removed it and idled a lot better when I removed them. And I did consider that getting my injectors professional cleaned by him. But again the money is right here. And if I could get by doing it myself. It would save me a lot of money tho.
