Nice! I wish Toyota kept the solid-axle like the heep Wrangler still has. Now we believe you

A picture paints a thousand words.
Toyota components are bullet-proof. Issues often arise from poor wiring, assembly and/or maintenance. Suspect those first.
Next only to our senses, the multi-meter is the most important electrical diagnostic tool. Spend $6 at Harbor Freight or $$$ blindly replacing parts.

I next had the cats removed (I live in a non smog enforced area) and had the exhaust split to both sides. Tube bumpers, the visor and bigger tires came next at about the same time. Stiffer shocks, and add a leaf, and wider wheels and tires came next.
Beautful 4runner you've got there. What wheels are those?

1987 22RE 5 speed

New member here. I purchased my DD in college and have loved modifying it the last 5 years. 280k miles on the body, 40k on a rebuild. Have learned a lot from this forum and others the past few years, and look forward to learning more.

First Outing of the spring last Sunday. Since the last run, she got an add-a-leaf, new tires, alignment, and a steering gearbox adjustment. Smooth sailing!
