I think Japanese factories made all car bodies in the 1980's with rust added to the paint!!

Damn thats a nice 4runner, I have a 2nd gen and I love it but I have a soft spot for 1st gens. I would easily pay 4000 for that, but I am a sucker for nice clean stock yotas. I know what you mean about the rust, its ridiculous, especially considering 95 and up yotas dont rust like the old ones, you'd think they would have figured it out earlier (instead of after 15+ years) but they are still great vehicles. I wash mine every few days or whenever it gets salt/mud and i detail it and hose out the wheel wells and I am still finding little spots where it wants to start, luckily I have managed to keep iit basically rust free though (besides the inside of the rear bumper) Awsome runner man, hope you can keep it in that condition, its sad to see all these 1st gens just getting destroyed ( although I would be tempted to offroad the hell out of one myself)

Looks like it's in nice shape. I had to go to Texas to get a first gen with no rust. It was worth the drive though. I oil sprayed the hell out of it before driving it this winter and it seems to be holding up to the extreme weather we have had this year in Canada.
Did you find it locally?

Here are some shots from Katemcy and Trees Ranch. The biggest problem with these rigs are the rear overhang as seen in the 2nd picture. The dent under the tail light is new too.

The rear overhang really does suck. I was regularly hitting my rear bumper on things and bending/denting it. Wasn't too worried about the stock bumper as I plan on changing it soon. Then I noticed that everytime I come down on it, it moves up and dents the tailgate. I have since re-sprung the rear and added a 2" body lift so it won't be as much of an issue now. I have a solid bumper, just have to modify it to fit, and mount it to the frame and not the body.
Some nice pics there guys, now I have to add one of mine too.
