I have recently noticed a strange vibration and sqeeling/light grinding noise that can be felt on the floorboard from the front drivers side drive line. I called my "go to" mechanic. He told me he had heard of this problem in cold temps around *10. He thought it may be the front SPINDLE BUSHINGS that needed to be driven out and replaced with needle bearings.....about a $300 repair. Anyone else have this problem or know anything about it??
Also I am faced with a coolant leak...probably BEHIND the timing belt IDLER pully...the one that has a coolant passage that goes right through the center of the pully into the manifold. Looks like I might as well replace the waterpump, timing belt, tensioner and gaskets along with the Idler pulley as well. I am aware there are NO gaskets for these conections on the water passages for this inlet/pulley assembly...you HAVE TO USE PERMATEX "THE RIGHT STUFF". HERE WE GO AGAIN!!! I am starting to dislike this 4Runner....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
