Brake booster: Is non-ABS ok?

Hey folks,

I can't find a straight answer, so I hope you can help.

I have a '94 T4R 2WD with rear ABS.

I swapped out the brake booster only (not MC) several years back with a junkyard part and didn't know anything about the ABS at the time, so I don't know if I have the right one or not. It's worked great for years though.

My question, since I don't know if I actually have the right one is . . .
Will a non-ABS booster work with a T4R equipped with rear ABS?
Does anyone run a non-ABS brake booster on an ABS T4R?

I'd like to save a few bucks even if it means no rear ABS, but I would like for the brakes to work.

Thanks in advance.

Looking at the FSM, the booster has nothing to do with the ABS system, so there wouldn't be 2 types.

The FSM may not say anything about it, but every auto part retailer lists different boosters for ABS and non-ABS. They appear different in photos, but unsure of specific differences.

i put a regular booster on my 94 (supposed to have ABS) pretty sure the difference is with the master cylinder. at some point in my trucks life somebody installed a regular M/C. Everything works as it should. I jam on the brakes hard, i stop nice and quick and my 35's don't lock up
