1994 Changes

I was reading on ConsumerGuide (lol) about 2nd gens and I noticed something about the 1994:

"The big news for 1994 is the arrival of 4-wheel antilock brakes. The new system is only available on 4Runners with the V6. It replaces the previous rear-wheels-only system that had been in place since 1990. All 4Runners now provide a center high-mounted stoplight and side door guard beams."

That sucks. I'd love front ABS. I had no idea it was available on the 94s. Where does this system go? Assuming by the airbox?

Has anyone swapped this system over before? I'm guessing I'd need whatever actuator and the speed sensors.

I love the inclusion of the side door beams. LMAO that is the least worry when getting hit in a 2nd gen.

I'll bump it up for you.

About the door beams-Think T-bone. Any little bit of help could make a difference, right?

New member here and I don’t have enough replies to make my own thread- but can y’all give me your opinion on how much an engine swap would be for a 95? And problems I could run into with it as it hasn’t been running for a couple years.

It would be simpler to trade for a 94.
It's an integral prat of the truck's brake system, not an add-on.

Very true, but I mean, if dedicated!
