I’ve been running a Killer Toy Tops bikini top for close to 10 months straight now.
I personally love the look of it and a good open air feel for myself and my passenger in the back seat (4yr old) while still having shade out on the trail.
But I do not daily my truck it’s purely a trail rig at this point and it never rains where I live so haven’t had the need to put the hard top back on.
The top itself is great quality and fit-up is simple.

Having owned a CJ5 decades ago, I sort of agree. Soft top and soft doors were always off in the summer.

But a 4Runner with a bikini top, half doors, and the sun roof removed is damn close.

Even then, the bikini top is optional, it comes off easily, but the 4Runner actually looks better with it on.

l love the look and feel of no top. Hard top and bikini top is the best of both worlds.

Hey guys, first post here, came over form the Land Cruiser world at IH8Mud. In our family now we have 2 3rd Gens and a 1st Gen. The first Gen is what I went to after my FJ80, always been in the Toyota world but really digging this first Gen. As she sits currently......

My question, is between KTT and Soft Topper, are there any real differences in quality and service or should I just pick the one that looks better to me?

Can-Back tops, they are nice, mine is old and I’ll be replacing it with another one.

What's nice about the Soft Topper is that it gives you the option to have it fully retracted, or just the sides folded up. So really 3 different ways to have it. This will be the 4th summer I will be putting it on. Usually goes on around May every year...hard top back on late Sept-October, when it starts to cool off.

It does a pretty good job at keeping water out. Maybe once or twice a few drops of sitting water fell in after I tapped it. But otherwise it stays dry.

It's kind of expensive so if you do pull the trigger, just take care of it. Store it well when not in use, clean it, etc. A friend had one on his Scout, and let snow sit on it. It stretched out and ruined it.

Where do you plan on sourcing it from? Truck Candy keeps giving me the runaround on their production so I'm definitely not going to hold my breath..

I currently have a softopper and while I do love the customer service and product, I really want something strong enough to hold a roofrack!

I was hoping truck candy was stocking or taking orders.
