Question Swapping out a gear shift knob.....

Hi again guys.....
Man I hope this isn't a dumb ?.....
How do I swap out a gear shift knob off a 1995?

Do I simply grip and turn it?

I want to take the one off my 1087 which the previous owner had already swapped.
and swap it with the one on the 1995......

Thanks for your help.....
