Not my first toyota but this is my first 1st gen 4runner.
Wolf steel is one of the few company's that even makes patch panels for these trucks. Toyota fiber glass makes some really nice panels too. The front fender your best bet is to find a used one in good shape or purchase a fiberglass one.
Wolf steel quarters. They come in 3 pieces and don’t fit well. They are all that’s available new though. My truck is not a restoration so I’m happy with how it turned out. Personally I would try and find some off a truck someone is parting out if possible first.

Wow! Yea that doesn't look anything like the pictures on the wolf steel website. They show the rear quarter as having a cutout for the tail light and the wheel arch has much better contours and shape. That is disappointing. Looks great considering what you had to work with. When did you order those pieces for your project?

I ordered them in November of 2017. The pictures were taken in January. I originally was going to use the fiberglass ones but I was told by the manufacturer there was a 2 year wait list.
I got my 4Runner for free. Somehow lucked out and saw one sitting in a driveway for 2 years, neglected, rusty, tree sap all over but I decided to randomly ask the guy what his plan was for the truck. He then asked if I was interested in buying it off him and I said no, not really, but I’ll take it off your hands and get it out of your driveway for free! After about 20 minutes, I had a flatbed on the way to pick up my new to me, 1986 SR5 4Runner!
Soo stoked on the truck. I have a Jeep YJ that I built out and it just doesn’t have the storage room for the old
Lady and our dog, along with surfboards, fishing and camping gear and what not.
BUT, I am now questioning what I should do about all the rust. I have HOLES all along the roof windshield frame, down the sides of the windshield frame and some spots all over the truck. My main concern is the windshield.
What should I do?
Is it repairable?
What’s the best route to take on this job?
Has anyone made a replacement roof yet?
