Want to start a restoration project

Our old 4runner still does his job in the winter getting us around the farm and occasionally pulling the neighbor out of the ditch, and we sometimes take her for a drive into the forest.
But he is not real roadworthy anymore, so I'm thinking about starting a restoration project together with my son, something that may cost me many years, and at the end I might donate it to my son.
I have restored a Citroen DS before, I really like doing it and I know I have the stamina to keep it going to the end.

Are there any well documented restoration projects around on the web? Does someone has any good tips/links, also concerning spare parts?
Any helpful information before I start this project is helpfull.

Thanks,
Wilbert

knock the snow off, pull it into the garage and see what you got to work with.
do a compression test.
If its rusted like swiss cheese, figure out if its worth body work

The V6 still purrs like a kitten and it is shifting fine, everything under the hood looks pretty clean. The body has some rust, but nothing compared to my much younger Fort Transit...
Its actually the chassis and everything attached to it that I am worried about. Not only does it looks pretty rusty, the car is also a 'bushwacker edition', which I don't know what that means.
