Diff gears and rear locker

I was wondering if anyone here has installed 5.29 gears and or a rear locker. How hard was it to do it? Is it a Do it yourself. I have some mechanic skills.

Biggest issue I've heard with installing gears is setting the spacing and the backlash for the pinion. If not set right it can cause binding and grenade your whole new setup...

Setting up a rear requires some rather specialized tools and a good bit of experience to do it right. Doing it wrong can ruin an expensive set of gears.

Typically:

$200 for the gears - x2
$100 for the master install kit - x2
2 hr labor @ $75/hr - x2

labor based on you pulling the 3rds and carrying them in.

much more labor $ if the shop pulls the 3rds.
