Aftermarket Radio Install Issues - 92 4Runner

Hello,

Ive been searching threads and YouTube for anyone with this issue. My 4Runner came stock with the CD/Tape/Radio combo. Double din radio. When I pulled the stock unit, I found the radio ran to an external, stock, Toyota amplifier. I also noticed the wiring harness I purchased seemed to be missing 1 wire.

Sure enough, when I got this thing wired up, only the rear tweaters were working; no sound from the rear speakers in the side panel. When looking at the wiring diagram, I notice there are not just a +/- going to the rear speakers, but they have some jumbled, overengineers mess going to the rear. The wiring harnesses out there only send to rear signals.

Any steps documented out there on what folks did to splice or get the rear speakers working,

Im trying not to do that, but I may need to ultimately do that. I might at least wire from the tweaters that are working to the speakers in the panels. I really dont want to run new cable from the front of the truck to the rear.

Thanks for the advice.
