Lets Talk Clutches

Yep, Its that time. She's slipping.... my fault.

This past Sunday, I taught the girlfriend how to drive a manual on my 3.4L swapped 2nd gen. Granted she did well, the clutch definitely saw some heat. I wanted to show off my driving skill with a little burnout leaving the parking lot and while I did a burn out, it was with the clutch. Needless to say, the GF was not impressed.

Now thats out of the way. Whats going to replace my OEM AutoZone special that I have in her now? I want to start traveling out of town to really climb some steep stuff while not worrying i'll be stranded. This is also my daily driver so I'd like to not kill my leg with some heavy race car clutch around town.

What do you guys recommend?

P.S. I have a factory 3.0L Tranny.

I love my Marlin Crawler clutch in my 3.4 3rd gen. My second choice would be a OE spec Aisin from rockauto.

Did you go with the full Marlin kit or get a separate flywheel? I'm pretty set on the Marlin clutch, but haven't decided on a flywheel yet.

Have always run and been really happy with LUK clutches.
