Throughout the fall, I've been taking my '88 out for cruises in the Sierras on my days off. I've been mainly hitting the mountains up past Foresthill in Placer County; there's so much gorgeous scenery up there. Sunday I made a run to Robinson Flat, as with a snowstorm coming later today, the gate on Foresthill Road at China Wall will most likely be closed for the season soon. Glad I did...I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Felt like being on the top of the world...
I had a similar idea, just a little bit further north. I went La Porte - Poker Flat - Chimney Rock - Saddleback - Downieville one day, and the next day drove a chunk of Henness Pass from Kyburz to Forest, then came down the Pliocine Ridge.

VERY nice. I'd love some more info on where these runs start/stop, difficulty, etc. Any of these runs have overgrown brush that would scratch my new paint job? I'm not far from Downieville, just down the road a stretch in Auburn. Any info you could provide would be MUCH appreciated...
