Question on 80 series SAS and keeping coils

I have a 1987 4Runner that I'm planning on doing a SAS using an 80 series axle. I have the entire axle and frame which means coils and shocks are available. Has anyone attempted doing a swap and kept the coils rather than going with a leaf spring IFS eliminator kit? I've tried searching and I wasn't able to find much.

I just don't know if trying to keep the coil set up is going to be too much of a pain and I should just buy the IFS eliminator kit and go that route. Thanks in advance

Doubt you can use the same arms so do you have the ability to fab up a link set up yourself? Also I think the 80 series has a weird steering set up so high steer will be in issue.

This is on an amigo, but concept is about the same.

I think the harder part will be getting the factory arms to work.
