permanantly disabling check engine light

I want to permenantly disable the CEL on my 1995 runner

I know why it is light up (faulty knock sensor) causing the timing to retard, my mechanic bumped the timing up and it's been running great for 4 years..

it's strictly an offroad hunting truck, not registered and stays on private property.

Just want to get rid of the light, we do some hunting for hogs with night vision goggles and I don't want any lights on the dashboard..

?
