Temperature Gauge Sender Type

1987, 5spd, SR%
I'm looking at a temp gauge that might be compatible with the OEM gauge sender unit. Does anyone know what Type of sender Toyota uses in these trucks?

Choices are
Temperature Sensor Type: K, E, S, R, J, T, B, WRe3-WRe25, Pt100, Cu50

Would like to keep OEM sender unit and drive this gauge.

Round Automobile Multimeter, 2 1/16'' (52 mm) [SYL-1813-MR] - $69.50 : Auber Instruments, Inc., Temperature control solutions for home and industry

Thanks, Steve.

There are two kinds of senders. One is just for the dummy light, and other are for gauge clusters with the temp gauge.

Thats all I know about them.

I just bought a temp sending unit yesterday. Not sure if type J or K. The website info doesn't say either, but this is what you need.

I ended up going with a mechanical temp gauge, works great in the factory location behind the thermostat. I was able to easily feed the sender lead into the cab of the truck via the hvac drain tube. This large grommet is on the firewall on the passenger side. Both the drain tube and grommet are soft rubber so the sender lead slipped in right next to the drain tube. No holes drilled, No rubber cut, and very tight seal.
