1985 4runner highway gearing question

I recently had a lift/lockers/regear done by a local shop and they recommended that I avoid the highway due to the 5.29 gears. I get that the RPMs will be higher than stock, but is this something I should genuinely be worried about? My 4runner has an auto trans and 35 inch tires. Would going back down to 4.88s or 4.56s make a substantial difference regarding highway manners?

Thanks in advance for the help.

You'll be fine just as you are, especially since you have an auto trans.

Why would you want to spend serious $$ to get re-regeared based on what the shop said? If they were really concerned and honest, they would have told you that beforehand.

Have you driven it on the highway yet?
