1994 4runner shim adjustment
Good afternoon, everyone, I have a 1994 4runner, 2wd, v6, 3.0. it has a ticking noise when accelerating over 2000 rpm. Once I stop accelerating, it goes away but then comes back when I am accelerating. I thought it could be the injectors, so I rebuilt them, and the same noise is still there. Makes me believe I need to adjust the shim/valve clearance. Also, it is only on the driver's side that the noise is coming from. The passenger side is quiet. I can take the valve cover off, I know how to do the job and the truck shows me the clearance tolerance on the hood sticker but how do I know which lob is intake and which is exhaust? A diagram or photo would best help me in the scenario
