How to find TDC on 22RE motor?

Hello,

So I recently did a valve adjustment on my 4Runner, and had a heck of a time funding TDC. I could not find any marks on the pullies or sprocket on the timing chain, and had to instead rely on sticking a screwdriving down the #1 spark plug hole....

Seemed like it was 2 timing chain sprocket revolutions to get to TDC and back again?

Can someone please share with me the most accurate way to find TDC on this motor? I want to do my valve job over again - the right way.

Thanks in advance!

Phil

That would be correct.

If you try GOOGLE you will find a lot of info on this subject.
