How to fold seats down???

Hello guys this might seem like a dumb question but I can't for the life of me fold down the 2nd row seats in my 95 4runner. I already looked searched the loop thingy see if fell somewhere in between but nothing I've tried pulling the bottom of seats and they just won't budge. My friend has no problem folding his on his 93 he has even tried helping me but can't. Anyone has any suggestions on what to do ?

The little locking mechanism may be stuck closed especially if you haven't folded them down in a long time. Maybe spray a tiny amount of Pb blaster or the like and wait a while. If that doesn't work then time to bust out the bfh haha

My '95 had a small latch at the top corner of the seat back. Pull the latch forward and the seat back will lay down.

I had this problem earlier today on my 95. I finally found the loop that releases the bottom part of the seat. If your trying to fold the top part of the seat, pull the knob on the top corner. Confused me for a bit for sure. Good luck

This is good news for me. Just picked up a '95 4x4 in amazing shape (144K miles; I'm the third owner), but cannot find the loops either.

Can I ask...where should I be reaching to find them, or what's left of them? Maybe in relation to the seat belt buckles...more toward center than them, or more toward the outside, etc. If you have a photo, that would be amazing.
