'95 Head Gasket question

Ok, so i hear the '95 3VZE V6's are bad for Head Gaskets, so i have a few questions
1 How would i know if a Gasket blows? What to look for?
2 How can i check if the Gasket has been replaced under recall? (i have no idea what the PO did to the vehicle)
3 If it does go out, how much is it typically to fix the gasket, or is it even worth it?
Thanks!

White smoke out the exhaust, overheating, runs rough

Write down the VIN and call a dealer

Where is the VIN located on the T4R? and if there is multiple, which should i look for? I want to make sure its accurate in case the PO had major work done, like dash replacement or something.

In addition to the dashboard, check the plate on the doorjamb.

my head gasket just went out and the only tell tale sign was a bad coolant leak.

1. My headgasket went out, smoke poured out like crazy!! It filled the entire street, so you will definately know.
2. Mine is a '95 and I was told that it was not covered under the recall
3. it cost me about $2500. I had other work done as well so this is probably higher then just a headgasket.
