22re oil pump collar

I recently put a rebuilt 22re in my 85 4runner and returned the old one for a core. The engine shop said I left two collars with the oil pump that should have gone on the new engine. I don't want to put these on if it's not necessary-very time consuming. Does anyone have any input about this?

I just got done building my 22re from top to bottom, and the only collars I can think of are actually part of the cresent gear mechanism of the oil pump. But it wouldn't have fit very well if those were not in place. Should be okay...
