Mui Mal. The banjo bolts have 2 copper washers, one on either side of the banjo. IOW: bolt, washer, banjo fitting, washer, filter....on both sides of the filter. If the banjo is scratched or damaged, it wont seal properly. If the sealing face of the bolt or filter is scratched, likewise, wont seal properly.
If you are spraying fuel, I would say you have either a damaged filter, banjo or line, or the bolt is cross-threaded. The fuel pressure on these trucks is not that high, I think its only 15PSI or so. I have never seen one spray, only drip or just get kinda wet. If its spraying, its gotta be a big misalignment.
I move mine to inside the passenger frame rail about where passenger footwell is located.
